my cat Lizzy practically lives in my room, and she is in and out at night time. when i sleep i have the door closed or cracked, but usually closed. So Lizzy has adapted and learned to open doors. she can open ALMOST every door in the house. because the house is on a slope, she can easily open the doors facing to the side of the house where the creek used to be, however, my door is not; it takes some time for her to open my door. at night i will here constant clicking of the door handle. its so irksome! *click click clank!* ghaa! it drives me crazy. But, i came up with a solution! i tied a bell on both sides of my door so whenever she stands up to reach for the handle, she will make the bell ring slightly so i can open it for her right away instead of laying there through a minute of clicking. luckily for me, my cat doesn't play with bells :)
